Baseball News: Pujols, Wilson land in L.A.

Free agent 1B Albert Pujols has reportedly agreed to a 10-year, $250-260 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels. The Marlins fell out of the race yesterday after they signed Mark Buehrle. Obviously, this leaves the Angels with a plethora of first basemen in Pujols, Kendrys Morales and Mark Trumbo so expect another move or two before all is said and done. Analysis on how this move impacts the fantasy baseball world will be up shortly at Baseball Professor.

This is bad news for the Cardinals, who are now left with a gaping hole not only at first base, but in the middle of their lineup as well. Could they make a play for Prince Fielder now? Stay tuned into the SportsProfs Fantasy Network for up-to-date baseball, football and basketball news and rumors!

UPDATE: Angels have also reportedly signed top pitching FA C.J. Wilson to a 5-year, $77.5 million deal. You have to like the fact that he’s staying in the AL West and going to a pitchers park, but for complete analysis make sure to check Baseball Professor!
